Working principles:
Utilizing the adsorption performance of nitrogen and oxygen in the air on zeolite molecular sieve (ZMS) is different (oxygen can pass through while nitrogen is adsorbed) at ambient temperature and the two are separated to obtain oxygen- rich products.
The three main steps of air separation:
Purification:The ambient air will be purified to remove dust before entering into the air compressor.
Adsorption: The pre - treated air enters into the adsorption column contains zeolite molecular sieve. After the moisture and carbon dioxide are removed from the air, zeolite molecular sieves start adsorb nitrogen and the remaining oxygen flows out from the adsorption column. The process will stop before the adsorption capacity of the zeolite molecular sieve is saturated.
Desorption: The saturated zeolite molecular sieve achieves regeneration by reducing pressure (i.e. releasing adsorbed gases - water, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen). This step is achieved through a simple pressure release system (PSA) or using a vacuum pump (VPSA/VSA) to release the exhaust gas automatically .
